TRACE ADKINS SAYS HE ENJOYED HIS `CELEBRITY APPRENTICE‘ EXPERIENCE
UNDATED (AP) _ Despite losing out to Piers Morgan, Trace Adkins
says he has no regrets about taking part in ``Celebrity
Apprentice.‘‘ Adkins says he wouldn‘t have done anything
differently. He says, ``I played the game the way I wanted to and I
played it clean.‘‘ And while he won‘t miss the tense boardroom
gatherings, he says he‘ll ``miss the relationships and hanging out
with these people and just the camaraderie.‘‘

JEWEL SAYS A FAN ONCE THREW HIS UNDERPANTS AT HER ONSTAGE
NASHVILLE (AP) _ Boxers or briefs? Jewel says her strangest fan
encounter involved a pair of men‘s tighty whities. She says ``one
time a guy threw his big white underwear on stage, which is not
sexy at all.‘‘ Hopefully, Jewel won‘t have to dodge any underwear
when she hits the road with Brad Paisley‘s tour on June 11th.
Meanwhile, Jewel says despite a resume that includes being a
singer, songwriter, poet and actress, she tries to keep her
ambition in check. She says ``there‘s a lot of stuff I‘ve turned
down in my life and in my career that probably could of made me
more famous and more money.‘‘ Jewel says she prefers personal
happiness. Jewel‘s album ``Perfectly Clear‘‘ hits stores on June
3rd. Jewel‘s first single is ``Stronger Woman.‘‘

UNIVERSITY CONCERTS FEATURING THE LIKES OF ALAN JACKSON, WYNONNA AND TAYLOR
SWIFT CANCELED
UNDATED (AP) _ Organizers have pulled the plug on some
high-profile country concerts planned for April. The Gridiron Bash
concerts were going to take place at 16 universities, and feature
the likes of Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift and Wynonna Judd. The
concerts were planned for the night before the various schools‘
spring games. School officials were worried player participation
would violate NCAA rules prohibiting special benefits for
student-athletes. The canceled shows include one at the University
of Tennessee, which was to have featured Montgomery Gentry and
Taylor Swift. Wynonna Judd and Dierks Bentley were slated to
perform at the University of Kentucky. Alan Jackson‘s concert at
the University of Alabama was also called off. Refunds will be
offered.

MILEY CYRUS WINS 2 TROPHIES AT KIDS CHOICE AWARDS
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Miley Cyrus took home two trophies at
Saturday‘s Kids Choice Awards. She won for favorite female singer
and TV actress. Cyrus also rocked the show with a performance of
her hit song ``GNO - Girls Night Out.‘‘ Other winners were
``American Idol‘‘ for favorite reality show, the Jonas Brothers for
favorite music group and Eddie Murphy for favorite voice from an
animated movie for ``Shrek the Third.‘‘

NEAL MCCOY COMING OUT WITH BEST OF ALBUM
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Neal McCoy is coming out with a greatest-hits
album. The disc contains 19 of McCoy‘s best songs. The compilation
also debuts ``Rednecktified,‘‘ a new song McCoy co-wrote. ``The
Very Best of Neal McCoy,‘‘ is slated for release June 3rd.

CLINT BLACK WILL BE AMONG THE FIRST TO COMPETE LIVE ON ``SECRET TALENTS OF
THE STARS‘‘
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Clint Black will be among the first
celebrities showing off their hidden talents on CBS‘ new reality
show ``Secret Talents of the Stars.‘‘ The show premieres live next
Tuesday. Black is trying his hand at stand-up comedy. Viewer votes
will determine which two performers will move on to the first
semi-final round, airing on April 22nd.
