DOLLY PARTON ON `AMERICAN IDOL‘ THIS WEEK
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Dolly Parton will be a familiar sight on this
week‘s ``American Idol.‘‘ She‘ll appear on the show tomorrow and
Wednesday. Parton will be mentoring the contestants and then
performing the second single from her new ``Backwoods Barbie‘‘
album, ``Jesus & Gravity.‘‘ On April 22nd, Parton launches her
``Backwoods Barbie‘‘ tour.

TRACE ADKINS GOES NUMBER 1 WITH `YOU‘RE GONNA MISS THIS‘
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Trace Adkins‘ latest single ``You‘re
Gonna Miss This,‘‘ talks about cherishing life‘s special moments
and he has another momentous event to savor. He has a hit on his
hands with his current single. It‘s Number 1 on the country singles
chart.

JACK INGRAM TAKES HIS FAMILY CRUISING
UNDATED (AP) _ Jack Ingram is again mixing business and
pleasure. He‘s currently on a seven-day country music cruise with
Joe Nichols, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt, Chuck Wicks and
Ingram‘s wife and kids. The family accompanied him on the cruise
last year. Ingram says it‘s fun for his kids to be on the water.
But he does admit being with his family in such tight quarters can
make him stir crazy. He says ``it can sure test your patience to be
in a tiny cabin.‘‘ He adds, ``It proves just how deep your love
runs!‘‘

``DANCING WITH THE STARS‘‘ - PRISCILLA PRESLEY
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Priscilla Presley steamed up the dance floor
on ``Dancing with the Stars‘‘ last night. Dressed in vibrant red
and sporting a leg garter, she performed a sexy tango with her
partner. Judge Bruno Tonioli (toh-nee-OH‘-lee) said the dance was
full of passion and drama. He gushed it was ``Priscilla Presley
starring in the hot cougar tango.‘‘ Judge Carrie Ann Inaba
(ee-NAH‘-bah) said she was ``mesmerized‘‘ by Presley, who she said
did a ``fantastic‘‘ job. Though, she did caution Presley to watch
her neck line. Presley‘s fancy footwork paid off. She scored a 26,
her best score so far.

VINCE GILL CONCERT RAISES $100,000 FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AUDITORIUM IN
OKLAHOMA CITY
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (AP) _ It was back-to-school night for
Vince Gill as he returned to his Oklahoma City elementary school to
put on a charity concert. During last Thursday‘s show, Gill helped
raise $100,000 to renovate the auditorium at the Cleveland Arts and
Science Specialty School. The school also renamed the auditorium in
honor of Gill. The singer reminisced that it was the site of his
first stage performance. As a 7-year-old he performed ``House of
the Rising Sun.‘‘ Gill let the crowd guide his set list by taking
requests directly from audience shout outs. Gill‘s mom and sister
Gina were in the audience. Gill‘s wife, Amy Grant, performed two
songs while seated on the first row with daughter Corrina fast
asleep on her lap.

MONTGOMERY GENTRY‘S NEW ALBUM DROPS IN JUNE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Montgomery Gentry will release their new
album on June 10th. It‘s the band‘s seventh album. The lead-off
single and title track is ``Back When I Knew It All.‘‘ The guys cut
the project in Memphis. Troy Gentry says, ``We wanted to do
something different. I think it came together well down there, and
it shows.‘‘ Eddie Montgomery co-wrote two of the 11 tracks. The duo
also got help from Toby Keith on vocals for their song ``I Pick My
Parties.‘‘

BE IN A MOVIE WITH MILEY CYRUS
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ A great opportunity for some Miley Cyrus
fans to see the teen star at work. The Nashville Tennessean says
Disney is holding an open casting call this Sunday in Nashville for
extras to be in the background of her upcoming ``Hannah Montana‘‘
movie. Billy Ray Cyrus also stars in the movie. Filming begins in
and around Nashville on May 6th.
(The open casting call will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
April 6th at Sommet Center, 501 Broadway.)

``THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE‘‘ FINALE IS THURSDAY‘S #1 SHOW
BURBANK, Calif. (AP) _ Last week‘s ``Celebrity Apprentice‘‘
finale scored big with viewers. It was Thursday‘s Number 1 show.
According to Nielsen figures, NBC won Thursday night in adults
18-49 and total viewers. It was the top-scoring finale in ``The
Apprentice‘‘ franchise in both adults 18-49 and total viewers since
the conclusion of ``The Apprentice 4‘‘ in December 2005.

PHIL STACEY FEATURED ON AMERICAN IDOL THIS WEEK
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ ``American Idol‘‘ catches up with
season-six finalist Phil Stacey this week. On Wednesday‘s show,
Stacey updates fans on his life since Idol, what‘s going on with
his family, and his self-titled debut CD set for release April
29th. Just this weekend, Stacey made his Grand Ole Opry debut.
Wednesday‘s segment also features fellow Idol alums Bucky Covington
and Bo Bice.
