CLINT BLACK GOES FOR LAUGHS TONIGHT ON CBS‘ ‘SECRET TALENT OF THE STARS‘
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Clint Black says he may take some
lighthearted pokes at his family during his comedy routine, but
nothing he‘ll have to apologize for. Black is trying his hand at
stand-up comedy for the new CBS show ``Secret Talent of the Stars‘‘
which premieres tonight. Black says ``I tend to try not to hurt
people‘s feelings.‘‘ Plus, he says he can find plenty about himself
to poke fun of. Black says most of his jokes are observational, but
he does have a couple of one liners. Here‘s one for example; ``You
would think something called a spaceship would be more roomier.‘‘

CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS STILL A BIG FAN OF ``AMERICAN IDOL‘‘
LOS ANGELES (AP)_ Carrie Underwood is staying tight lipped on
who her favorite contestant on this season of ``American Idol‘‘ is.
She says ``they don‘t need that.‘‘ Underwood says they‘re all doing
the best job that they can. But she says this is a great season,
with a lot of great talent and they all have their own individual
styles. As for any advice for the current crop, she says ``leave it
all out there. Put it all out there, do the best you can every
week.‘‘ But she says honestly there‘s nothing anybody could have
said to prepare her for what she does.

Underwood and Chace Crawford, just a C-U-L8R. Underwood tells Extra
that she and the ``Gossip Girl‘‘ actor broke up via a text message.
She says ``It was completely mutual.‘‘ She says the relationship
``just didn‘t work.‘‘ Underwood says they both knew it wasn‘t going
well and have no hard feelings whatsoever. She says ``I don‘t
dislike him, so it‘s no big deal.‘‘

MILEY CYRUS HAS NEVER SEEN AN EPISODE OF ‘AMERICAN IDOL‘
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Miley Cyrus says she loves ``American Idol‘‘
-- even though she doesn‘t know anything about it. She says ``I‘ve
never seen an episode ever, ever.‘‘ She says ``it‘s something you
have to really get into and I never have time to really get into
and see every episode.‘‘ She keeps up with the ins and outs of the
show by reading magazines.

tapes a segment tomorrow for the CBS soap opera, ``The Young and
the Restless.‘‘ The episode is scheduled to air Friday, May 2nd.

TRACE ADKINS PROMOTES 11TH ANNUAL ``FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS WEEK‘‘
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Trace Adkins is once again stepping up
to help the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). That‘s the
charity he played for on NBC‘s ``Celebrity Apprentice.‘‘ This time
Adkins is helping promote the 11th annual Food Allergy Awareness
Week, the week of May 11th. He‘s appearing in a poster for the
group to promote food allergy education. Adkins‘ daughter Brianna
has severe food allergies.

TRISHA YEARWOOD SAYS SHE‘S TOO YOUNG TO WRITE AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY
UNDATED (AP) _ Trisha Yearwood isn‘t penning a tell-all anytime
soon. She says she was approached to write an autobiography, but
was like ``No! I‘m too young for that.‘‘ Yearwood, her sister and
mother collaborated on a new cookbook called ``Georgia Cooking in
an Oklahoma Kitchen.‘‘ The book is out in stores.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ ``Good Morning America‘‘ is going
country later this month. Lady Antebellum and Ashton Shepherd are
slated to perform on the show on Monday, April 21st.

DANCING WITH THE STARS
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Priscilla Presley did a no-no last night
during her Viennese Waltz on ``Dancing with the Stars.‘‘ She did a
lift, which means her feet came off the ground, which is forbidden.
Judge Len Goodman said he docked Presley a point for the mistake.
He also said her dance looked a bit rushed. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba
(ee-NAH‘-bah) praised Presley‘s acting, saying ``you‘re able to
create such drama with your facial expressions...It‘s
mesmerizing.‘‘ But she also faulted Presley‘s lift. Judge Bruno
Tonioli (toh-nee-OH‘-lee) liked the performance, but cautioned
Presley to watch her shoulder, neckline. Presley and her partner
scored a 22 out of 30.
