GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) _ A 27-year-old man has been charged
with negligent homicide in the death of a Great Falls man more than
three years ago.
Great Falls police detectives traveled to Salem, Oregon, on
April 2nd to arrest Andrew Perry. He‘s charged in the death of
46-year-old Michael Romanchuk.
Police found Romanchuk dead with a single gunshot wound to the
head after Perry called police to Romanchuk‘s Great Falls home in
November 2004.
Great Falls police Chief Corky Grove said yesterday that Perry
told detectives he and Romanchuk had been drinking together before
Romanchuk shot himself.
But detectives who were skeptical of the story continued to
investigate and obtained an arrest warrant.
