BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) _ Byron Campbell, a quarterback at Liberty
High School in Bakersfield, Calif., has signed a letter of intent
to play football at Montana State. Campbell passed for 1,747 yards
and 18 touchdowns as a senior, and Bobcat coach Rob Ash called him
a big, strong-armed quarterback who is very mobile.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) _ Montana‘s Gatorade basketball player of the
year, Andy Garland, has accepted a scholarship at Carroll College
and will play for the Saints. Coach Gary Turcott made the
announcement yesterday. Garland was a four-year starter at Missoula
Sentinel. The 6-foot-5 forward averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds
per game, leading the Spartans to a runner up finish at the state
tournament.

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) _ The Montana and Montana State track teams
open their outdoor season this weekend, at the Al Manuel
Invitational at the University of Montana. Athletes from Gonzaga
and Eastern Washington will be competing in the event, which starts
Friday afternoon.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) _ The Professional Bull Riders is bringing
its ``Built Ford Tough Series‘‘ to Billings later this month. The
top bull riders in the country are scheduled to compete at
MetraPark April 18th through the 20th at the Nile Invitational.
Results count toward the 2008 Professional Bull Riders World
Championship Title.
