     BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) _ Montana State football coach Rob Ash has
lowered his expectations of good practice conditions in his first
season of spring drills with the Bobcats. The team practiced
Wednesday on a icy field in 30-degree temperatures, and he called
it awesome. He says it was good to practice outside for the first
time during spring drills.

     GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) _ The Montana AAU has announced the 10
finalists for this year‘s Little Sullivan Award. The honor is given
to the top amateur athlete in the state. Heading the list of five
men‘s finalists is former University of Montana defensive lineman
Kroy Biermann of Hardin. The women‘s list was headed by Northern
Colorado basketball player Danielle Hagen of Sidney. The awards
will be announced in early May.

     GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) _ Thompson Falls distance runner Shane
Donaldson has signed a letter of intent to join the cross country
and track teams at the University of Great Falls. Donaldson is a
four-time all-state performer in cross country and finished second
at the state Class B championships as both a junior and senior.

     MILES CITY, Mont. (AP) _ Miles Community College golf coach
Lindsay Woolley has announced the signing of five in-state golfers.
They are: Kate Murdock of Whitewater, Tabatha Goulette of Broadus
and Colleen Rau of Lewistown along with Grayson Kunst of Forsyth
and Jase Sanderson of Miles City.
